Raptor Academy started life as Raptor Security Services in 2019 based off the desire to provide a better class of security professional for the state of Utah. Through the pandemic it was discovered that Raptor had the opportunity to uplift the whole of Utah’s security industry rather than only its students and so Raptor Academy was created to becomes Utah’s premier security training program provider.

CONSULTATIONRaptor Academy is proud to support a variety of instructors across the state using our training program to teach and certify the states security professionals. Each of our instructors is trained and supported directly from Raptor Academy leadership and all are approved to certify security guards using our program.
Beyond our unarmed and armed programs, Raptor Academy is also approved by the state to train and certify firearms instructors using our in house 3 day program. Whether you are just getting started in your instructor journey or are a seasoned teacher, Raptor academy has you covered.

Ian has been working with the security industry since 2015, starting off as a uniformed guard before quickly moving up to become the sites supervisor. From there he began working with partners by providing executive protection, consulting, investigations, and management. Having worked all facets of security he got the chance to personally see the gaps in training and how to best fill those gaps. He started working on his training program that same year with the desire to provide a better program to his officers, but quickly realized he had the opportunity to provide support for the security industry at large.
